This week, I’ve been learning as much as I can about creating a Faceless YouTube channel. It’s the ultimate automation adventure. I require that this will require no on-camera presence, just clever use of AI and automation tools to create engaging videos that rack up views and ad revenue. Here are some key highlights from what a lot of the gurus say:

• Income Potential: Creators report earning $10,000 or more monthly with content niches like philosophy, health, and historical shorts.

• Easy Entry: With the help of AI, even beginners can produce high-quality videos with minimal effort.

   • Add animations to your static images using Replicate which allows you to use most of the tools available for this in one place.

3. Voiceovers and Audio:

   • Generate realistic AI voiceovers using 11 Labs or similar platforms.

   • Find royalty-free music on platforms like Epidemic Sound to enhance video appeal.

4. Video Editing:

   • CapCut is a user-friendly tool for stitching together visuals, voiceovers, and music.

   • Advanced editing techniques like color grading and transitions help create polished content.

Content Niches to Explore

For instance, a focus on technology can position you as an authority while providing ample opportunities to partner with brands or promote affiliate products. Once you’ve selected your niche, save the URL of the relevant news feed.

Step 2: Automating Content Creation

Here’s where the magic begins. Zapier, a platform that connects apps and automates workflows, becomes the engine that can drive your blog.

Setting Up the Workflow

First, integrate Google News with Zapier by setting up an RSS feed trigger. This ensures that every time a new article is published in your chosen niche, it feeds directly into your workflow. From there, connect to an AI platform like OpenAI’s ChatGPT to rewrite the article into an original, engaging, and SEO-optimized blog post.

For instance, here’s a prompt to instruct the Chat GPT:

Rewrite this article into a 1,000-word blog post with an engaging introduction, clear structure using headers, and actionable insights. Ensure it aligns with SEO best practices and maintains an authoritative tone.

This step ensures that each article is tailored to captivate your audience and perform well in search rankings.

Image Creation

Visuals enhance engagement and professionalism in blog posts. Using Zapier and OpenAI’s DALL-E, you can automate the creation of custom images tailored to your articles. Start by adding a step to create an AI prompt to create an image based on your article’s theme, such as:

Based on [insert the 1,000-word article from the previous step in the zap], create a detailed prompt for an image that visually represents the main theme or key takeaway of the article. The prompt should specify the scene, subjects, setting, and any stylistic elements to align with the article's tone and purpose.

This prompt is generated dynamically in Zapier after your article is written.

Next, connect DALL-E in Zapier to create the image using the resulting prompt. Then, save the image in your Google Drive to ensure you don’t lose the image when OpenAI decides to purge the image. Use your Google Image ID to create a URL for the image.

Pro Tip: Google can sometimes restrict the public visibility of images stored in Google Drive. To ensure your images are viewable, be sure to share your Google Drive folder with public access enabled. Use the following URL structure with your Google Image ID (replacing [ ] with the actual ID) to create a shareable link:

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/[insert_google_image_id]=h1000

This link can be used to embed the image in your blog or share it across other platforms.

Automating image creation ensures every blog post is visually engaging, saves time, and helps your content stand out. It’s a simple way to elevate your blog’s appeal and impact.

Posting to WordPress

The final piece of the workflow involves connecting Zapier to your WordPress site and including the posting step in your zap. With the automation in place, new blog posts are drafted—or even published—directly to your site. Use Zapier to map details like the title, content, and metadata, ensuring each post is perfectly formatted for maximum impact.

Step 3: Creating Your Blogging Platform

For those without an existing site, it’s pretty straightforward. Hosting providers like Hostinger are affordable and have advanced features, including AI-powered tools to simplify website creation.

Build your site on WordPress for flexibility and scalability. WordPress plugins like Yoast SEO can further enhance your content by optimizing it for search engines to ensure each post reaches its potential.

Step 4: Monetizing with Strategy

A well-structured blog is a foundation; monetization is where the growth happens. Consider these methods to turn your blog into a revenue-generating powerhouse:

1. Affiliate Marketing: Embed affiliate links within your content, promoting relevant products or services. This approach is effective from day one, as it doesn’t require significant traffic to start earning commissions. Even if your blogs post without your intervention, you can write more complete prompts to instruct Chat GPT to include your affiliate links. Otherwise, you can always go back in and add your affiliate links manually.

2. Cost-Per-Click Advertising: Platforms like Google AdSense allow you to display ads on your site. You earn revenue each time a visitor clicks on an ad, providing a passive income stream.

3. Sponsorships: As your traffic increases, brands may seek opportunities to advertise their products or services on your blog, offering significant earning potential. However, achieving this requires consistent content creation and a steadily growing audience—something an automated process can seamlessly deliver by ensuring regular content updates.

Affiliate marketing stands out as a particularly accessible and profitable method. Networks like Impact and CJ Affiliates offer countless programs to get started.

Auto Notification

I prefer to be notified whenever my Zap creates a new blog post, whether it’s a draft or a live post. To streamline this, I recommend adding a WhatsApp notification step in your Zap workflow. This ensures you’ll receive a message as soon as a post is created, allowing you to be the first to review it, make any n

ecessary edits, and ensure everything is perfectly aligned. It’s a simple yet effective way to stay on top of your content.

If you’ve been living off scraping projects, now’s the time to diversify your skills. Think about learning how to implement workflows that use this new AI power instead of trying to beat it.

Why Use ChatGPT in Google Sheets?

Imagine this: you’re wrangling rows of customer feedback, brainstorming new taglines, or just need a quick poem about sales reports (hey, I don’t judge). Instead of hopping between apps, why not let the power of AI work for you right in your spreadsheet? With a custom askgpt() formula, you can process prompts, generate ideas, or extract insights in bulk—without ever leaving Google Sheets. Game changer!

What You’ll Need

1. Google account (obviously).

2. Google Sheets (obviously).

3. A ChatGPT API key from OpenAI. (Sign up at OpenAI if you don’t have one.)

4. Five minutes of your time and a willingness to impress yourself.

Step 1: Open the Script Editor

1. Open your Google Sheet.

2. Navigate in the menu bar to Extensions > Apps Script. This opens a code editor that looks a little intimidating but trust me—it’s friendlier than it seems.

Step 2: Write the Script for askgpt()

1. Delete the placeholder code in the editor.

2. Copy the code below and paste it into the editor:

3. Replace the [bracketed text] on the third line of the script with your own API Key which you can get from OpenAI.

Step 3: Save and Enable the Script

1. On the menu bar, click the floppy disk icon ‘💾’ to save your project.

2. Just to the right of the floppy disk icon, click on ‘▷ Run’

3. This first run will prompt you to authenticate your account by re-logging into Google to authorize your script (see the process below).

   

4. You have now activated you custom askgpt() formula. You can close the Apps Script editor.

Step 4: Use Your New Formula

1. Back in your Google Sheet, you can now use the formula in any cell like this:

2. Hit Enter, and voilà! ChatGPT's response will appear in the cell.

Pro Tips for Using askgpt()

• Keep it concise: Practice your prompt in ChatGPT to get it working the way you want before using it in Google Sheets.

• Experiment with settings: Modify max_tokens or temperature in the script to adjust response length or creativity. Adjust the Google App script you pasted into the editor earlier.

• Engineer the prompt: Concatenate text with content in other cells in the same row as shown in the example below:

  = "Using less than 260 characters, write a story about " & A2 & ". The tone should be " & A3 & " and " & A4 & "."
  
  If [A2] contained 'automation', [A3] contained 'friendly', and [A4] contained 'educational', then the prompt would be:

Step-by-Step: My Twitter (X) Posting Workflow

Here’s how my setup works, start to finish:

[Zapier Trigger] Setting Up the Scheduler

I start with Zapier and its scheduler feature. The scheduler triggers my Zap according to a set cadence, triggering an automatic pull of content for each post from a specific row on my Google Sheet. I set up my Zap to run daily at a specific time. If I want to create the same type of tweet more than once a day, I’ll just duplicate the Zap and adjust the time.

[Step 1] Pulling Content from Google Sheets

When the Zap triggers, it pulls the next row from a Google Sheet where I keep a list of keywords and a few variable words for each post. These rows include a trigger column that I call ‘Next’. Zapier will pull the first row that contains ‘TRUE’ (at the end of the Zap, I change the value to ‘FALSE’).

[Step 2] Drafting the Post with ChatGPT

Once I’ve got the keywords into Zapier, the Zap sends them through ChatGPT in a structured prompt to craft the post content, which gives each one a fresh, conversational voice. It’s like having a virtual writing assistant, keeping things consistent while adapting each post to the day’s keywords.

[Step 3] Creating a Visual Prompt for the Image

With the post content ready, it’s time to make the visuals pop. I send another structured prompt to ChatGPT, but this time to generate a prompt specifically designed for an image creation AI. This ensures the image aligns with the tone and message of the text, pulling it all together in a single cohesive package.

[Step 4] Generating the Image

Next, I use ChatGPT with that visual prompt to create an image perfectly tailored to the post content. Having visuals that connect to the post is a game-changer for engagement—it just pulls people in. This image is then ready for the next step of the Zap.

[Step 5] Saving the Image to Google Drive

Before posting, I save the image to my Google Drive folder, which is already set up to share all images publicly. This extra step ensures I have a ‘permanent’ copy of the image, so it won’t disappear later when ChatGPT purges its old images. Using this stored image for my posts also helps keep my images accessible in one place.

[Step 6] Sending the Post and Image to X via Buffer

Now that the post and image are good to go, you’ll need to send the post to X.com. X. (Twitter) doesn’t have an integration with Zapier. So, we need a workaround. There are several apps you can use, but the one I used for this automation is Buffer. So, the next step in my Zap sends the post to my Buffer account. Buffer takes over from here, either posting immediately or queuing it up based on my preferred posting schedule. You can set them within the Zap to post immediately or go into your Buffer queue. Now the tweet is posted or queued up and ready to roll.

[Step 7] Marking It as Sent

Finally, I update the Google Sheets row that I used for this post. I add the post content to the row and capture the Google Image ID (just in case I want to find the image later). I also change the value of the ‘Next’ column to ‘FALSE’. This way, Zapier knows to pull the subsequent row next time it triggers, using fresh keywords and variable words to keep the tweets crisp from one to the next.

And that’s it! With these seven steps, my X (Twitter) posts are fully automated. Once it’s set up, the whole system runs on its own, pulling in new content, crafting posts, creating visuals, and posting them all on schedule.
